COVID-19 Possible Exposure Notice
Published on August 14th, 2020
We have been informed by Fraser Health that people present at Don Bosco Youth Centre on August 5 2020 between 16:00-18:50 might have been exposed to COVID-19 due to the presence of another participant who recently tested positive, but was asymptomatic at our facility during the highlighted timeframe. Participants who were not at our facilities outside of this timeframe do not apply to this warning, as we had sanitized our facility and reinforced our safety procedures before, during, and after each dance class.
If you were at our facility during the aforementioned timeframe, it is important that you read the attached document from Fraser Health, and follow any instructions and guidance that may apply to you. As described in the attached document, your chance of exposure to the virus is small, yet the applicable advice for you is to:
Monitor your symptoms for the time being
Avoid large groups and gatherings
Continue to maintain general COVID-19 prevention best practices
Use your best judgement when deciding to self-isolate or get tested, as the general recommendation is to only pursue further action if you begin to show symptoms. Again, more important details are outlined in the attached document, so please read and inform yourself on how to manage the situation with confidence.
Fraser Health has asked for everyone’s help to get this message to any others who could have been at Don Bosco Youth Centre, 10461 140 Street, Surrey BC during this time period and might not have received this letter. Think of those who might not have access to e-mail, social media, or who might not read English well.
Although we have designed and maintained proper health and safety protocols throughout our daily operations, we sincerely apologize for any concern and stress this brings. We are making ourselves completely available to you to answer any questions, or to help direct you to the proper health authorities if you have specific questions related to public health and COVID-19 guidance.
