Beginner Grooving

Monday | 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM

Grooving in the Hip-Hop world is musicality and creative interpretation of movement. Grooves first, moves second. A beginner level class for students who have little to no dance experience. Students will be taught the history of hip hop dance and exposed to each different fundamental styles of hip hop. Students may be as young as 8 years old. By the end of the year, students will be able to incorporate these styles, freestyle and make it their own. Those who excel in this class may advance to one of our specialized fundamental hip hop classes such as Breaking, Locking, Popping or Waacking.

Level: Intermediate
Previous Experience Required: 1+ Yrs
Pre-Requisite Training: Not required
Assessment By: Instructor Approval

Advanced Grooving

Monday: 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Grooving in the Hip-Hop world is musicality and creative interpretation of movement. Grooves first, moves second. An intermediateto advanced level class for students who have had training or dance experience. Students will be taught the history of hip hop dance and exposed to each different fundamental styles of hip hop. By the end of the year, students will be able to incorporate these styles, freestyle and make it their own. Those who excel in this class may advance to one of our specialized fundamental hip hop classes such as Breaking, Locking, Popping or Waacking.
